The short version
Racquet Blob ("the App") is a tennis game developed by Andrew Murphy. The App does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, or precise location. This policy explains the limited, anonymous data the App does collect, the third-party services it uses, and your choices.
The following is stored on your device only and is never sent to us:
Uninstalling the App deletes all of it.
The App uses two services. Each receives only the data described below. Neither receives your name, email, or any account, because there isn't one.
The App sends anonymous events to PostHog so we can see, in aggregate, how the game is played: for example, whether new players finish the tutorial, which rivals are too hard, and whether matches run too long. Events include:
These events are tied to a random identifier that PostHog generates for your install. It is not your Apple ID or your device's advertising identifier, and we never connect it to your identity. As is standard for web services, PostHog receives your IP address when the App connects, and may use it to estimate an approximate location (such as country or city). We use this only for aggregate reports.
Provider: PostHog, Inc. (data hosted in the United States). Privacy policy: https://posthog.com/privacy
If the App crashes or hits an unexpected error, a technical report is sent to Sentry. It includes the error and stack trace, device model, operating system, app version, the screen, venue and match type at the time, and a short trail of the most recent analytics event names leading up to the crash. The App does not send your name, email, or any other personal information to Sentry, and does not attach a user identity to crash reports.
Provider: Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry). Privacy policy: https://sentry.io/privacy/
The App is free to try. Optional one-time purchases unlock the full game (Full Game, or the Founders Pack) or add cosmetic collections. Payment is processed entirely by Apple: the App never sees your name, Apple ID, billing address, or card details. The App receives only the state of each purchase (owned, pending, or refunded) so it can unlock it on your device and restore it on other devices signed in to the same Apple account. Refunds are handled by Apple under its standard policies.
Provider: Apple Inc. Privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
After a great point, the App can record a short replay clip for you to share. When you tap Share, iOS asks for permission to record the screen. The clip is created on your device and handed to the standard iOS share sheet. The App does not upload, store, or view your clips; where they go is up to you.
Racquet Blob is a game suitable for all ages and is not directed specifically at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13: it has no accounts, no chat, and no way to enter personal details. The analytics and crash data described above are anonymous and technical.
We do not sell user data. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above, only for the purposes described, and with no one else.
Data on your device is kept until you uninstall the App. Analytics events sent to PostHog and crash reports sent to Sentry are kept according to each provider's retention settings for our account, and are used only in aggregate.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
