Common questions
- A callsign isn’t found. US lookups use VFO A and search the FCC database; worldwide (DX) callsigns need VFO B. If a valid US call comes back empty, the FCC record may be newly granted — databases update daily.
- License data looks outdated or wrong. The app displays public FCC Universal Licensing System records as published. Corrections must be made with the FCC; the app will reflect them once the source updates.
- Distance and beam heading are missing. These need location access. Enable it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → CallSign Check. Your position is used on-device only and never transmitted.
- Band conditions aren’t showing. The HF conditions strip hides itself when solar data can’t be fetched — check your connection and pull to refresh.
- Clearing history and favorites. Lookup history and favorites are stored only on your device and can be erased in the app’s Settings.
